Virginia Code §8.01-40.3 separately creates civil liability for specified conduct in which a publisher maintains charge or arrest information and solicits, requests, or accepts value to remove it. The statute provides actual damages or $500, whichever is greater, plus specified fees and costs. It should be understood as a protection, not as an endorsement of any removal business.
Match Bath Release Photos to Custody
Alleghany Regional Jail, VADOC, BOP, and a public registry are separate systems.
